​​Aylesham Arts Club village‑wide art competition "Love Aylesham" is open to everyone — all ages, all abilities, all styles. It’s an invitation to share and show Aylesham as you see it: the details, places, people and moments that make the village yours.

Aylesham means something different to everyone. For some, it’s a place shaped by generations of family and heritage; for others, it’s a new home still being discovered. Children growing up here today will know a different Aylesham to the one remembered by long‑standing residents.​ Love Aylesham brings all those perspectives together — the old, the new, and the emerging — in one shared creative moment.

There’s a lot of creativity in Aylesham that doesn’t always get a platform. This competition is a way to bring your work into the open — whether you sketch occasionally, paint regularly, or are returning to art for the first time in years.

​

Selected entries will be part of the build‑up to Aylesham’s centenary year in 2027, with some artworks included in a special Centenary Calendar and community exhibition. It’s an opportunity for local artists — emerging or established — to have their work seen by the wider community.

open to all abilities, and welcomes any style or medium.

🎨 Who Can Enter?

Everyone living in Aylesham or with a connection to the village:

• Children

• Young people

• Adults

• Beginners

• Experienced artists

• Community groups

• Families creating together

If Aylesham is part of your story, you’re welcome.

🖼️ What Can You Submit?

​

Any artwork that responds to the theme: “Aylesham: Past, Present, Future”

This could include:

​

• drawings

• paintings

• photography

• digital art

• collage

• textiles

• sculpture

• mixed media

• anything creative you can capture in a photo

There are no restrictions on style

—realistic, abstract, expressive, documentary, playful… it’s all welcome.

🏆 What Happens to the Artwork?

​

• A panel will shortlist entries

• Selected works will appear in the Centenary Exhibition 

• A number of pieces will be chosen for the Aylesham 2027 Calendar

• Winners and highly commended artists will be announced in November

• Certificates for all shortlisted artists

3. Fill in the online entry form - there is one for Adults,one for under18s, one for teachers

4. Upload your image

5. Submit — you’re done
